A woman, not a member of the Celestial Church of Christ but a member of the Christ Apostolic Church, joined the Wednesday morning Seekers Service of The Celestial Church of Christ, Ogudu Expressway Parish and received a life changing miracle. She’d been childless for so many years and when she eventually got pregnant, one tragedy after the other trailed her…until she walked into the Celestial Church of Christ, Ogudu Expressway Parish on that fateful day…Hear her powerful and soul touching testimony:
My name is Blessing Babatunde , I want to thank Almighty God for what He did for me at the Celestial Church of Christ, Ogudu Expressway Parish, Ogudu, Lagos. I’d been childless for a long time and had been looking up to God for the fruit of the womb in the last five years. I’d gone from pillar to post and from Cape to Cairo in my seemingly endless search for a child. Evantually, I became pregnant. My husband and I were exceedingly happy that God had finally answered our prayers. But after I got pregnant with this child that I’m carrying in my arms today, many terrible incidents began to unfold.
After I got pregnant, the Devil began to rage. I visited five different hospitals where all the doctors confirmed that I was carrying a dead child in my womb. In fact, at the third hospital, it was confirmed that the foetus was beginning to decay in my womb. The damning verdict was unanimous that even if I succeeded in giving birth to the child, I would be delivering a dead child…a still birth. I was advised not to bother keeping the baby things that I’d bought in anticipation of the birth of my baby. I even went to LUTH (Lagos University Teaching Hospital) hoping that I would get a different verdict but the verdict was the same.
Hopeless, I went ahead to give out all the baby things I’d bought to the needy. I accepted my fate and began to pray to God to spare my life, even if the child in my womb was dead. It was at this point in time that I ran into someone who advised me to go to the Celestial Church of Christ, Ogudu Expressway Parish, Ogudu, Lagos, in search of succour. Not convinced, I asked the person in question why she wanted me to go to this particular parish of the Celestial Church of Christ and she responded that she had also gone there with a seemingly insurmountable problem in the past and that her prayers were answered at C.C.C. Ogudu Expressway Parish. She emphasized that she went to this parish of the C.C.C. in tears and she came out in joy and laughter. She convinced me to go there.
So, on that Wednesday morning at 9.00 am, I went there for the Seekers Service. I sat in the front of the church and participated in the service from there. In my heart, I continued to cry unto the Lord. I told God in prayers that I’d come to the C.C.C. with a request and that if He revives the child in my womb and gives me the grace to deliver a living baby, I would stand before His congregation in this parish and share my testimony to His glory. After the Service that Wednesday morning, I felt an urge that I couldnt explain to request for water from the altar (Omi Pepe). So, I went forward and made the request. I was asked to bring an empty bottle of Ragolis water. I did and the water from the altar was given to me. I was then told that if I drink the water with absolute faith in God, it would work for me and I would experience God’s miracle.
On my way home, just as I got to 7 Up area, I opened the bottle and drank all its contents in one gulp. Barely one minute after, I began to feel dizzy and the baby in my womb began to move. I immediately boarded a tricycle and headed to the hospital. When I arrived at the hospital, they asked me what was wrong with me. Some even made jest of me that I’d come again with the dead child that I was carrying in my womb. I begged them to please examine me. I cried out that I was feeling very dizzy, so the Medical Doctor asked me to lie on the bed and he examined me. That was when he exclaimed that the baby I was carrying in my womb, that he’d earlier pronounced dead, was alive and kicking. He wanted to know where I was coming from and what I’d taken. I told him that I was coming from a parish of the Celestial Church of Christ where I encountered God and got this miracle.
I was then given a bill of N190,000 (One Hundred and Ninety Thousand Naira). I began to plead with them that I didn’t have that kind of money. I explained to them in tears that my husband died in an Okada (Motorcycle) accident when my pregnancy was just six months old. They then asked me to go and bring the baby things. Again, I explained to them that I’d given out all the baby things that I bought. Still, they said I should go and bring whatever I could get for the delivery of the baby.
I left the hospital and was going home. Just as we got to Berger, under the bridge, I gave birth to my baby, Iyanuoluwapo, right inside the Marwa trycycle that was taking me home. This is the child that was pronounced dead that I’m carrying in my arms. My baby is alive, hale and hearty. I return all the glory to God Almighty. I offer my unlimited thanks and praises for this miracle. True, I’m a member of the Christ Apostolic Church but going forward, I’m now a member of the Celestial Church of Christ. I have become a member of C.C.C. Ogudu Expressway Parish.
All those peddling defamatory stories that the Celestial Church of Christ is fetish should ask God for forgiveness. I was one of those peddling such damaging stories about the white garment church. I have since gone back to God to ask Him to forgive me for all the negative things that I said about the Celestial Church of Christ in the past. C.C.C. is not a fetish church. This is where I encountered God and experienced His miracle.
My husband died when my pregnancy was just six months old. He had an accident on an Okada motorcycle at Mile Two. The Okada rider was reckless. He was riding in between fast moving cars and the lace material that my late husband was wearing got hooked on one of the cars. That was how the accident that took his life occurred. I’m a widow now. I do not have a husband. God is my husband.
She ended the testimony by dancing for God along with the congregation.
