The Pastor in Council of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide under the leadership of His Eminence, Reverend Emmanuel Mobiyina Oshoffa, has intervened in the travails of the Shepherd and other victims of the arson at C.C.C. Overcomers Parish, Oke Ira Nla, Ajah, Lagos, after the death of a labourer employed to evacuate the soak-away pit in the Church premises. The esteemed Council has provided instant succour meant to ease the trauma of the Shepherd and other victims of the sad and tragic incident.

The Council has provided funds raised by its distinguished members to offset the hospital bills of the victims of the unfortunate incident, which include the Shepherd, VSE Aso James, the Assistant Shepherd and the Church Secretary.

Making this revelation, the Secretary of the Pastor in Council, Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide, Superior Evangelist Kayode Ajala, confirmed that the first tranche of the relief fund was handed over to the victims during the week. He also stated that Council members sympathise with the victims and the family of the deceased labourer, praying that his soul finds eternal peace. Ajala assured that Council members were still making donations to the Relief Fund for Aso and others. The second tranche of the donations would be made available to the victims in the weeks to come.
