PRESS RELEASE
E.M.F. ISSUES FRESH ORDERS TOWARDS REALISATION OF IMEKO CITY DEVELOPMENT PROJECT.
The Pastor and Spiritual Head of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide, His Eminence, Reverend Emmanuel Mobiyina Oshoffa has released new directives towards achieving set goals in the infrastructural development of the Celestial Holy City in Imeko, Imeko-Afon Local Government Area, Ogun State.
The new directives are contained in a memo titled, “The Journey Continues- Together, We Must Build Celestial City, Imeko, Into Our Own Jerusalem,” and addressed to all Regional Heads, Shepherds and all parishes of the Celestial Church of Christ worldwide.
In the memo, Reverend E.M.F. Oshoffa stated that the new directives seek to ensure that considerable progress is made in the Imeko City Development Project before the December 2024 Annual Convocation Programme of the church.
In the new directive, the Pastor directed all Shepherds of the Celestial Church of Christ to immediately commence the contribution of N5,000 (five thousand Naira) per month and [$2/€2/£1 per month for Shepherds in diaspora] to the Imeko City Development project, while all members of the church are expected to make a monthly donation of N2,000 (two thousand Naira) for same cause.
In addition, each parish of the Celestial Church of Christ has been directed to pay a levy of N5,000 (five thousand Naira) towards the Imeko City Development Project from the Juvenile Harvest income. The sum of which is different from the Juvenile Harvest Returns.
Also, His Eminence, Reverend E.M.F. Oshoffa instructed that during Adult Harvest Thanksgiving celebration, C.C.C. parishes all over the world and Shepherds in conjunction with the Harvest Officiating Minister from the Pastor’s office must set aside 15 minutes to sensitise and raise collections for the Imeko City Development Project.
The memo further stated that payment and collection of all these funds, which shall be coordinated by Shepherds and Administrative Heads, are to be remitted into the project account published as, Zenith Bank Account Number 1225674111 and with the name: CCC P.I.C. Works and Projects Committee.
While encouraging Celestians all over the world to continue to support the Imeko City Development Project, Reverend E.M.F. Oshoffa reminded C.C.C. members that it was the desire of the late founder of the church, Saint Samuel Bilewu Joseph Oshoffa (his father), to develop the Celestial Holy City, Imeko, into a pilgrimage site for Christians all over the world.
E.M.F. further assured that considerable progress has been made in the first phase of the Imeko City Development Project, which began last year.
Some of the achievements, as driven by the Pastor In Council Works and Projects Committee, were listed as, connection of the Imeko Basilicca and its environs to the National Grid, construction of drainages and installation of solar powered street lighs to mention a few.
However, the next phase of the Imeko City Development Project seeks to extend the Celestial Basilica, Imeko, by 50 metres on both the right and left sides to cater for the overflow of congregants, while also completing the beautification of the landscape around the worship centre.
Under the beautification project tagged “Say No to Dust in Imeko,” it is also expected that all roads around the Basilica will be tarred upon the completion of the project in December 2024.
Finally, the Pastor and Spiritual Head of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide noted that Administrative Heads and Shepherds must show proof of payment of the Imeko City Development Levy before their requests will be attended to at the Administrative Unit of the Pastor’s office.
Let’s Build Our Own Jerusalem by Re-Awakening the Dream of our Founding Father, Saint S.B.J. Oshoffa.
PLEASE HELP REBROADCAST WIDELY!
