Venerable Superior Evangelist V.B. Williams joined the saints triumphant late on Thursday, 21st September, 2023. He was aged 78.
God’ own General, Victor Babatope Williams, lived a life of total service, worship and dedication to God in the Celestial Church of Christ. He was a Member of the Pastor in Council (MPIC) and Member Board of Trustees (MBOT) of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide.
Late V.B. Williams also served and retired as a General in the Nigerian Army, where he was the Director of Army Finance and Administration. The departed icon was a Patron of the Central Choir, C.C.C. W/w and a strong pillar of the Celestial Church of Christ, Ikeja 1, Lagos.
He would be sorely missed.

General attended CMS Grammar School Bariga oldest secondary school in Nigeria. I also attended the same school. He was my senior. My late father was the Principal of the school then. General was a great student, he imbibed the excellent culture and prudence from the school. The Old Grammarian Society will surely miss him a lot. May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.
