The U.S.A. National Diocese of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide under the leadership of Venerable Superior Evangelist Olaitan Balogun, has issued a communique after its Town Hall Meeting held at the Celestial Church of Christ, Arch Diocese Chicago 1, Chicago, USA, on Saturday, 4th March, 2023.
The deliberations highlighted the achievements of the administration of the Diocese to include Perfection of Registration of National Diocese, Establishment of Executive Council, Regional Council and Shepherd Council, Establishment of 25 Directorates, Initiation of Plans to Purchase Eight Hectares of Land at the Celestial City, Imeko, Ogun State, Nigeria, Payment of Shepherd’s Stipends and Settlement of Legal Matters.
While resolutions reached at the meeting are as follows:
-A Conflict Resolution Committee shall be set up to address all grievances.
-Details of Diocese accounts to be published.
-2023 harvest dates to be reconciled.
-C.C.C. Metro Parish and C.C.C. Chicago 1 Parish status established as ‘ArchDiocese.’
-It was resolved that the office of the Head of Diocese must not be bypassed in dealings with the World Headquarters of the C.C.C. in Nigeria.
-The role of female members as stipulated in the Church ordinances and tenets was re-established.
-Posting of negative and embarrassing reports on social media platforms by church members was unanimously condemned.
-The Women Council program for Holy Mary Day would be given necessary support.
-Wearing of purple regalia by non clergy should be strongly discouraged.
-Migration of Youths from the Church to be given serious attention.
-Regional Supervisors to meet with Shepherds under their watch and come up with names for the Reconciliation Committee.
-Deputy H.O.D. assigned with task of setting up a Committee to review By-Laws and submit review to the Executive Council.
The Town Hall Meeting was presided over by Head of USA National Diocese, VSE Olaitan Balogun and hosted by Superior Evangelist Salako.
