The phenomenal growth and spread of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide under the watch of His Eminence, Reverend Emmanuel Mobiyina Oshoffa, Pastor and Spiritual Head, continued on Friday, 20th January, 2023, with the dedication of the impressive cathedral of the Christ Tabernacle Parish at Ile-Ife, Osun State. Recall that only recently a parish of the C.C.C. was commisioned in faraway Australia and at the close of 2022, another cathedral, Orisun Iye Parish, was dedicated at Eleyele, Ibadan, Oyo State.

The dedication of the gigantic edifice of the Christ Tabernacle Parish, Ile-Ife, Osun State, attracted the creme de le creme of the Celestial Church of Christ from far and near, including Most Superior Evangelist M.O. Ajao, Most Superior Evangelist S.I. Akindoyin, Most Superior Evangelist Olusegun Olarinde, Venerable Superior Evangelist J.O. Ayodele, Venerable Superior Evangelist Gabriel Jerry, Venerable Superior Evangelist Joseph Talon, Venerable Superior Evangelist Olatosho Oshoffa, Venerable Superior Evangelist Akinbode Adjovi, Venerable Superior Evangelist S.F. Adeniyi, Venerable Superior Evangelist Augustine Olumilade, Venerable Superior Evangelist Bangobi, Venerable Superior Evangelist Femi Obiyan, Venerable Superior Evangelist Samuel Osodi, Venerable Superior Evangelist Michael Bakre, AVSE Gouan Barthelemy, Superior Evangelist Kayode Ajala, Most Senior Evangelist Solomon Oshoffa, amongst others.

The event also witnessed the investiture of the brain behind Christ Tabernacle Cathedral, Superior Evangelist Femi Arayemi, into the rank of Venerable Superior Evangelist.

In his sermon, Reverend E.M.F. Oshoffa stressed that God only gives the grace to his chosen ones to build a temple of God. King David, in the Bible, desired to build a house for God but he was not given the grace to do so because his hands were stained with blood. King Solomon, his son, was given that grace. If the Lord does not build the house, the labourers labour in vain. His Eminence, quoting copiously from the scriptures, reminded the congregation that the temple of the Lord must not be desecrated. Our bodies are the temple of the Living God and we must keep it pure and holy by living a righteous life. Those who desecrate the temple of God invite the wrath of God. For God is spirit and those who worship Him must do so in holiness, righteousness, truth and spirit.”

The event was also graced by His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, the Ooni of Ife, who assured the congregation that he would return soon to worship with them again.
