Good Friday Service

“But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities…” – Isaiah 53:5

On Good Friday, we gather not in celebration, but in deep reflection and reverence. It is the most solemn day in the Christian calendar—a day that reminds us of the price of grace, the weight of love, and the depth of Christ’s sacrifice.

In the Celestial Church of Christ, Good Friday holds sacred meaning. It is a day of mourning, meditation, and worship, as we remember the suffering and crucifixion of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

With hearts bowed low and spirits lifted high, we come together in white garments, not for festivity, but for spiritual intimacy—to feel the pain of the cross and the hope that was born through it.

Our Good Friday service includes:

Soulful hymns and mournful chants that echo the agony of the Passion
Scripture readings from the Gospels detailing Christ’s final hours
Prophetic messages that stir the heart toward repentance and renewal
A moment of silence and solemn prayer at the hour He gave up His Spirit
Reflection on the Seven Last Words of Jesus
A call to humility, gratitude, and unwavering faith
Though the cross is heavy, we bear witness to its purpose.
Though the tomb seems final, we wait in hope.
Good Friday reminds us: death does not have the final say.

Let us come with reverent hearts, laying down every burden at the foot of the cross.
Let us remember. Let us honor. Let us worship.

He died that we might live.
He was broken that we might be whole.
By His stripes, we are healed.
