Palm Sunday commemorates the Christian belief in the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem, when he was greeted by cheering crowds waving palm branches that they set out on the ground along his path, according to the Bible

Palm Sunday is a reminder of the selfless love Jesus showed by laying down his life for us, and it is a time to reflect on our own lives and how we can show that same love to those around us. Palm Sunday is the day we remember and celebrate the day Jesus entered Jerusalem as Saviour and King.

Palm Sunday 2024 was marked with pomp and pageantry in C.C.C. parishes the world over. His Eminence, Reverend Emmanuel Mobiyina Oshoffa, Pastor and Spiritual Head of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide, led faithfuls at the Saint S.B.J. Oshoffa International Headquarters, Ketu, Lagos, on a Palm Sunday procession which climaxed with a Palm Sunday Service at the impressive Headquarters Cathedral of the church.

In a sermon delivered by International Headquarters Representative, Most Superior Evangelist M.O. Ajao, at the occasion, the Sermoner emphasized the lessons to be learnt from the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem. Lessons in humility, victory and salvation.

The Palm Sunday Service was conducted by Venerable Superior Evangelist Olaitan Balogun (H.O.D. USA National Diocese). Also present were Mother Celestial Celine Oshoffa, Venerable Superior Evangelist Rufus Adeoba (H.O.D. Canada Diocese, C.C.C. W/w), Venerable Superior Evangelist Ayo Osho (Treasurer, UK. Diocese, C.C.C. W/w), Venerable Superior Evangelist Augustine Olumilade, Venerable Superior Evangelist S.F. Adeniyi, Assistant Venerable Superior Evangelist Gouan Barthelmy, Superior Evangelist Kayode Ajala, Superior Evangelist Peter Onwodi, Superior Evangelist Rotimi Olaosebikan, Most Senior Evangelist Solomon Oshoffa, et al.
