The Pastor In Council Works And Projects Committee led by SVMSE Gabriel Oshoffa MPIC, achieved an unprecedented feat, as the committee ensured that the Celestial Basilica, Imeko, was connected to the National Grid before the commencement of the recently concluded 2023 Imeko Annual Convocation.

It is the first time that the Celestial Basilica and environs would be connected to the National Grid since the Basilica was put to use a few years ago.

In addition, the P.I.C. Works And Projects Committee also installed and activated a 500 KVA Transformer donated by SVMSE Ladi Adebutu, a few years back.

The 500 KVA Transformer was commissioned by His Eminence, Reverend Emmanuel Mobiyina Oshoffa on Saturday, 24th December, 2023.

The installation of the 500kva Transformer would relieve the existing overloaded Transformer in the Celestial Church Community of Imeko


The installed Transformer will power the following Church Buildings
(1) Basilica
(2) Pastor’s House
(3) Holyland
(4) C.C.C. Parish 1, Imeko.
(5) Other Buildings within the Community

Other laudable projects undertaken by the P.I.C Works and Projects Committee include:

-Replacement of all the wooden poles in the environ.
-Construction of new HT Line to improve power supply,
-Replacement of undersized service cables to all the buildings within the environment to improve power supply.


Also, note that the installed Transformer will guarantee quality power supply to the community.


-Installation of Street Lights powered by Solar Energy.
-Deployment of over 3000 mtrs of Aluminum Conductor to improve power supply to the Community.

Also in the pipeline is the multi million Naira project aimed at uplifting the landscape of the Celestial Basilica, Imeko.

This includes a 600m Road with walkway and with 1,200 meter length 0.60 x 0.60 drainage.

* *To date 435m length of 600 x 600mm (internal dimension) drain has been done(36.25%), using cast insitu direct labour method. Drains done are without concrete cover.


The 2nd Phase of the project is the Earth Work and Road Surfacing.


While the 3rd Phase includes Walkways, Slabs, Green Beautification of the Basilica Perimeter and Street Lights for the road.

Other members of the Pastor in Council Works and Projects Committee are Superior Adejare Oshin, VSE Oyesanya, VSE Smart Ifedayo Ogunbunmi, AVSE James Adepoju, Superior Evangelist Bankole Agunsoye, Superior Evangelist Babatunde Osibodu, Superior Evangelist Dayo Olaifa, Superior Evangelist Henry Adelakun, Evangelist Michael Adekanmbi, SVMSE Jide Olayemi and SVMSE Raphael Iwolode.

While resource persons are VSE Adeboyeku Okanlawon, VSE Olusiji Olajide, AVSE Mike Nwazomoh and Superior Evangelist Kayode Ajala.
