Lace Superior Elder Sister Olufunmilayo Akanbi Johnson had been childless for seventeen lingering years. The agony and hopelessness of those years could have broken her. The sneers and jeers of those forlorn years could have made her suicidal. It was tough. It was traumatic. The only thing that kept her going was her unflinching faith in God.
As a devoted faithful of the Celestial Church of Christ, she refused to give up. She clung to her faith in Christ as if her life depended on it. Last year, at the annual adult harvest thanksgiving service of the Celestial Church of Christ, Lagos Central Parish, Osapa-London, Lekki, Lagos, she joined other faithfuls to attend, still clinging to her faith in the God of S.B.J. Oshoffa.
And as fate would have it on that day, the Pastor and Spiritual Head of the Celestial Church of Christ, His Eminence, Reverend Emmanuel Mobiyina Oshoffa, also attended that harvest thanksgiving. In the course of the service, Reverend E.M.F. Oshoffa decreed fruitfulness into the life of Lace Superior Elder Sister Olufunmilayo Akanbi. She received it with faith. And this year, twelve months later, she attended the same annual adult harvest thanksgiving service of the C.C.C. Lagos Central Parish, carrying her own bouncing baby boy in her arms. She presented the baby boy to God at this year’s adult harvest thanksgiving service on Sunday, 26th November, 2023.
