The Executive Members of the Imeko Convocation Committee led by Superior Evangelist Adebayo Badekale will officially present the new S.B.J. Oshoffa Gold Cup Trophy to the Pastor and Spiritual Head of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide, His Eminence, Reverend Emmanuel Mobiyina Oshoffa, today at the pastoral residence in Lagos.
The presentation will officially signal the beginning of the Imeko Football Tournament, organised in memory of the late Founder of the Celestial Church of Christ, Prophet, Pastor Founder Samuel Bilewu Joseph Oshoffa.
The new Gold Cup Trophy , the Most Valuable Player (MVP) Trophy and the Best Goalkeeper Award Plaques were specially designed and donated by Superior Evangelist Ebenezer, C.E.O. of the Celestial Honours and Merit Award.
Presently, sixteen parishes spread across different states of the federation, including the Celestial Church of Christ, International Headquarters Cathedral, Ketu, Lagos (the defending champions), have registered for the highly prized sports event. A draw ceremony is scheduled to take place at the C.C.C. International Headquarters, Ketu, Lagos, on Saturday 4th November, 2023, at 12.00 noon prompt.
