The Celestial Church of Christ Theological Seminary held her Convocation and Matriculation Ceremony on Saturday, 28th October, 2023. The event which took place at the Klm 53 campus of the institution made history as the first of such ceremonies to be held upon resumption of the Seminary after a long closure.
The 2023 Convocation and Matriculation ceremony of the Seminary was graced by the Visitor of the institution, His Eminence, Reverend Emmanuel Mobiyina Oshoffa, Pastor and Spiritual Head of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide. Also present at the occasion were Most Superior Evangelist M.O. Ajao, Most Superior Evangelist S.I. Akindoyin, Venerable Superior Evangelist Segun Folorunsho (BOT), Superior Evangelist Obafemi Adewale (BOT), Venerable Superior Evangelist Kuti, Venerable Superior Evangelist Olatosho Oshoffa, Venerable Superior Evangelist Augustine Olumilade, Venerable Superior Evangelist S.F. Adeniyi, Venerable Superior Evangelist Alfred Jackson, Venerable Superior Evangelist N.M.R. Abdon, Venerable Superior Evangelist Elijah Bello, Assistant Venerable Superior Evangelist Gouan Barthelemy, Assistant Venerable Superior Evangelist Peter Olisa, Superior Evangelist Kayode Ajala, Superior Evangelist Olusegun Okeowo and a host of other dignitaries.
In his address, which was delivered by Superior Evangelist Kayode Ajala, the Visitor of the institution and Global Head of the Celestial Church of Christ, His Eminence, Reverend Emmanuel Mobiyina Oshoffa, commended “the present academic and administrative hierachy of the Seminary, led by Venerable Superior Evangelist Kayode Taiwo, for the miraculous transformation of the institution within the very short time that they had been in the saddle.” He also sincerely thanked “the Seminary Implementation Committee headed by Prophet Kunle Hamilton for their wonderful contributions towards restructuring the academic and administrative fabric of the institution.”
His Eminence congratulated the present crop of matriculating and graduating students and shared some words of wisdom and guidance with them:
“I want to commend the outgoing students for choosing to study here. The Celestial Theological Seminary, as your choice of study, was just right and not by chance…The famous adage, ‘Dont pass through the Seminary without the Seminary passing through you,’ should be your guiding principle. The friends you keep, your mode of dressing and your general lifestyles should be determined and regulated by your integrity, personality and aspirations, all of which you have been trained to uphold.
Let your knowledge of God continue to sustain a strong faith and good work in you such that you can be counted as a brilliant example for your family, the society and the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide.
May the Almighty God continue to shine His light on your paths in the mighty name of Jesus,” His Eminence prayed.
