DATELINE: SUNDAY, 15th OCTOBER, 2023.
It was the turn of the Celestial Church of Christ, Staten Island Parish, New York, USA, to celebrate her 31st Annual Adult Harvest. Themed “Harvest of Divine Upliftment,” the celebration was not only memorable but power packed and spirit filled. Highlights of the event included the investiture and admission of the new Shepherd in Charge of the parish, into the rank of Assistant Venerable Superior Evangelist of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide. The new Shepherd of C.C.C. Staten Island Parish, Assistant Venerable Superior Evangelist Adebayo, could not hide his joy as he pledged to continue to work tirelessly for the growth and progress of C.C.C. Staten Island Parish in particular and C.C.C. W/w in general.
Another highlight of the memorable day was the presentation of merit awards to outstanding members of the parish. Amongst the awardees were Superior Evangelist Peter Omorinde, Superior Evangelist Ologunde (Choir Director), Wolider Wale, Cape Elder Sister Yemi Bello and Sister Kike Azeez.
A Leadership Award was also presented to the Head of the National American Diocese of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide, Venerable Superior Evangelist Olaitan Balogun.
In attendance were Venerable Superior Evangelist Solomon Yusuf, Venerable Superior Evangelist Aribo, Assistant Venerable Superior Evangelist Lawrence Oni, Assistant Venerable Superior Evangelist Olajide Olubi, Assistant Venerable Superior Evangelist Akano, Assistant Venerable Superior Evangelist Daudu, Assistant Venerable Superior Evangelist Dada, amongst so many other dignitaries.
The new Shepherd in Charge of the parish, Assistant Venerable Superior Evangelist Adebayo urged the congregation to tap into the blessings of the celebration and come together as a faith community in the body of Christ to reflect upon the countless grace and love of the ALMIGHTY GOD.
