The Garnishee Order placed on C.C.C. Bank accounts operated by different parishes of the Church has been lifted by Honourable Justice S.H. Aprioku sitting at High Court 9, Port-Harcourt, Rivers State, after hearing the preliminary objection raised by Obafemi Adewale, SAN, for and on behalf of the Registered Trustees of the Celestial Church of Christ.
The order is made as follows (1) That the 1st Garnishee Zenith Bank Plc, 2nd Garnishee United Bank for Africa Plc, 3rd Garnishee Guaranty Trust Bank Plc, 4th Garnishee Access Bank Plc, 5th Garnishee Polaris Bank of Nigeria Plc, 6th Garnishee Keystone Bank Plc, 7th Garnishee First Bank of Nigeria Plc, be and are hereby discharged and all monies attached belonging to all Parishes of the Celestial Church of Christ in Nigeria, operating Bank Accounts that were attached be unfrozen forthwith by the aforesaid banks for the Account holders and signatories to operate same forthwith.
(2) That an order be and is hereby made, striking out this suit in its entirety.
