His Eminence, Reverend Emmanuel Mobiyina Oshoffa has approved the annual hosting of the Awhangbahun Festival International and has named Badagry, Lagos State, as the official venue for the hosting of the festival.
The Awhagbahun Ensemble was the first orchestra instituted by the Founder of the Celestial Church of Christ, Reverend Samuel Bilewu Joseph Oshoffa, as a spiritual weapon to set free the afflicted under any form of spiritual oppression or demonic attack.
However, the place of Awhangbahun in the doctrinal ethos of the Celestial Church of Christ in the contemporary world has been overly eroded and stands on the precipice of extinction. Hence the need to revive this important part of our ethos.
The theme for this maiden edition of the festival is AWHAGBAHUN FESTIVAL: PRESERVING THE ETHOS AND TENETS OF CELESTIAL HERITAGE.
The festival is a 3-day event starting from 25th – 27th July, 2024 at Badagry as outlined below:
– Day One: Awhangbahun Victory and Praise Procession/Vigil/Revival.
-Day Two: Symposium and Night Concert.
-Day Three: Grand Finale.
A spiritual exhibition and consultation for those seeking deliverance, victory and blessings would also hold from 25th – 27th July, 2024.
As part of pre-festival activities, a press conference is scheduled for Saturday, 15th June, 2024, at the Celestial Church of Christ, Reverend Pastor P.H. Ajose Memorial Cathedral, Sowhe, Badagry, Lagos. Time: 12.00 noon prompt.
