“El Bethel,”<\/em><\/strong> meaning a place of worship, was this year’s theme of the 50th Adult Harvest Anniversary of the Celestial Church of Christ, Ibara Cathedral, Abeokuta, Ogun State. And truly, on Sunday, 28th July, 2024, it appeared the whole of the ancient city of Abeokuta turned out to worship and celebrate with the congregation of Ibara Cathedral, at this year’s adult harvest and golden jubilee celebration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Getting into the well appointed cathedral was a herculean task as all the adjoining streets were blocked with human traffic, reminding one of the huge crowd at Imeko during the annual convocation of the Celestial Church of Christ. The Police and men of other security agencies had a herculean task clearing the road for His Eminence, Reverend Emmanuel Mobiyina Oshoffa, to get into the church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The arrival of the Pastor and Spiritual Head of C.C.C. W\/w appeared to ignite the mammoth crowd of guests and worshippers as they went into a frenzy dancing and singing hymns of welcome and praises. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

While delivering the sermon at the event, the global head of the Celestial Church of Christ traced the history of C.C.C. Ibara Cathedral from its humble and modest beginning to its present glory. He admonished the congregation to come before the Lord with a bountiful harvest like Abel in the Bible. He called on Christians the world over to show love to those that hate them and pray for those that despise them. Doing this, he preached, would attract the favour of God Almighty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Present at the event were Mother Celestial Celine Oshoffa, Most Superior Evangelist S.I. Akindoyin, Assistant Most Superior Evangelist J.S. Kuti, Venerable Superior Evangelist Joseph Talon, Venerable Superior Evangelist Augustine Olumilade, Venerable Superior Evangelist S.F. Adeniyi, Assistant Venerable Superior Evangelist Paul Tunde Soile, Assistant Venerable Superior Evangelist Gouan Barthelemy, Assistant Venerable Superior Evangelist Dayo Dairo, Superior Evangelist Kayode Ajala, Superior Evangelist Gbenga Adekanmbi, SVMSE Gabriel Oshoffa and Most Senior Evangelist Solomon Oshoffa,<\/em> amongst many other dignitaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
