This year’s version of the annual convocation at the Celestial City, Imeko, Ogun State, drew millions of devotees of the largest white garment church in the world from all nooks and crannies of the globe. They trooped into Imeko town from Europe, Asia, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Australia and from all African countries, making the ancient town of Imeko to burst at the seams.
It was undoubtedly the largest gathering of worshippers of a white garment church anywhere in the world.
This year’s Christmas Eve Service was held, as usual, at the gigantic Celestial Basilica, Imeko, Ogun State. The service was conducted by His Eminence, Reverend Emmanuel Mobiyina Oshoffa, Pastor and Supreme Head of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide, who also delivered the sermon at the service.
His Eminence, in his sermon, called on all Christians to embrace love and eschew bitterness and hatred. He stressed that holiness and righteousness were essential ingredients of Celestial worship. He spoke extensively on the lessons to be learnt from the birth from the birth of Christ in a manger and his crucifixion on the cross at Calvary. Prayers were offered for the peace, unity and progress of Nigeria and the growth of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide.
